After building YVR...
Oh by the way, I did not build YVR - a mistake someone made once introducing me. I can only be credited for a sign here and there within the terminal. Yay! People can now find the washroom and Starbucks!
To survive in Vancouver for decades as a Chinese restaurant is a feat. To the dustbin of history for places like Yen Lock, Winter Garden, New Winter Garden, among others. I came across the Park Lock at the corner of Keefer and Main when shopping at the NAMARKET (Night Market) last night in Chinatown. Long before Floata, Park Lock was in the 1980's the premier Chinese restaurant to go to. As a kid, many a night was spent playing with my brother at some boring multi-course dinner with the throngs of relatives. What strange food delectable food they had that we had to drive half an hour from Richmond to taste!
Check out my new gallery of pictures. Flickr is somewhat limited in its free mode (20 Mb a month xfer, 200 pictures total), but thought I would give it a whirl cuz it's good cool features. Neatest is the e-mail picture to upload function.
